Regional Physical Activity and Education Centre

The stunning development of the Regional Physical Activity and Education Centre will boast an impressive range of facilities, including an aquatic arena with several indoor and outdoor pools and a water playground.

The state of the art stadium will include six basketball courts, and offer social netball and volleyball programs, which all members of the community can enjoy.

In a landmark partnership between the City of Cockburn and the Fremantle Football Club, the centre will also host the Fremantle Dockers’ new headquarters and training facilities. Go Dockers!

Local organisations, business and the community will be catered for with meeting and function amenities, a creche and children’s indoor play centre.

Completion is scheduled for 2017, and with council recognising the importance of the community’s ownership in what will be one of the most significant local government facilities in Australia, local residents will have input into the final name of the centre. The four shortlisted names for the facility are AVIVA Cockburn, Requa Cockburn, Stadium Central and Cockburn ARC.
