ATTENTION: All those with a major sweet tooth!

If you are a fan of cakes, cupcakes and all things delicious, then Sweeter Fare will be your own personal heaven.  Supplying specially-designed baked goods, Sweeter Fare captures that ‘home cooked’ flavour that sees customers drooling for more.

Sweeter Fare is the brain child of local resident Jessica Properjohn, who has been busy this past year delighting locals with her baked goods.

“Sweeter Fare was born from a love of baking, a sweet tooth and a teenage dream,” Jessica said.

“After working in hospitality as an Event Manager for a number of years I decided to turn my love of baking into a career. After all, if you love what you do, you’ll never really work a day in your life!”

Jessica started her business, Sweeter Fare in December last year operating from her council-certified home kitchen. Using only premium and the freshest ingredients, Jessica prides herself on attention to detail. Whatever the occasion, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers or seasonal celebrations, Sweeter Fare aims to make every event just that little bit sweeter.

“I want customers to know that they will receive a quality product that has been made with a whole lot of love”, she said.

As well as her love of baking, Jessica also loves the community she has become a part of since buying her first home in Hammond Park more than six years ago. She now lives here with her husband, two young children and a third child due later this year.

“We feel very lucky to be raising our family in Hammond Park,” Jessica said.

“As a community we are fortunate to have so many amazing, first-class facilities on our door step. I feel Hammond Park is a young, thriving area and offers a sense of community like none other I have personally experienced.

“The Cockburn City Council, Richard Noble & Company and other community groups have done a fantastic job with events such as concerts, festivals and other activities they host each year. It is wonderful for the residents of Hammond Park and surrounding suburbs to connect with each other and develop a close sense of community.

“Also, through the use of social media like Facebook, it is obvious that the residents of Hammond Park have each other’s best interests at heart. Whether it is a conversation held on Cockburn Chat, or advice to a new Mum on the Hammond Park Mums page, I feel that our community is always willing to support each other and I love being part of that network.”
