The Hammond Park Community Association is always busy working on developments that ensure Hammond Park is a safe and friendly place to live. Listed below are just some of the projects they are currently working on.

Suburb Garage Sale event

Planning for the annual Suburb Garage Sale event is underway. Last year’s event attracted people from far and wide to Hammond Park to grab a bargain. Stay tuned for more details to come by following the HPCA Facebook page.

Draft Community, Sport and Recreation Facilities Plan 2017-2031

The City of Cockburn has recently released a draft of the Sport and Recreation Facilities Plan 2017-2031, which has taken on board HPCA feedback. In particular, it includes the need to address the provision of a community centre in Hammond Park, the provision of a District Level sporting reserve at Frankland Reserve by 2026 and the provision of a District level skate park by 2026. HPCA is very excited to see these items officially mentioned in the draft Plan.

Street Tree Rollout

We are looking forward to rolling out the Street Tree Program this year, thanks to the City of Cockburn. The first street tree roll-out will occur on Macquarie Boulevard, Jackadder Ave, Eucalyptus Drive and Barfield Road (north of Gaebler Road). The rollout will occur in August 2018, with another 3-4 streets being targeted each year. You can still request a street tree for your own property this year by emailing the city at customer@cockburn.wa.gov.au
